Business owners in Guernsey will have the chance to learn how they can take advantage of direct importing and exporting to France.
The States is organizing a complimentary webinar on Friday featuring senior representatives from Brittany Ferries and the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce.
This event will provide insights into the opportunities and requirements associated with importing and exporting through the new ferry service, set to launch at the end of March.
Chris Morris, the head of international trade for the States, remarked that the new schedule “could be a significant turning point” for certain businesses because of its “more reliable timetable.”
He mentioned that it could be faster or more economical, making it a viable option to explore. However, there are also factors to consider regarding direct imports from outside the common travel area.
Alice Gill, the executive director of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, stated that this would assist in educating businesses and fostering connections between the business communities in both jurisdictions. Business owners can sign up for the webinar by visiting the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce website.
