
Russian assaults on several villages resulted in the deaths of five individuals in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine on Friday, according to local prosecutors.
In a statement shared via the Telegram messaging platform, Donetsk prosecutors reported that one person lost their life in the town of Pokrovsk, a key area for Russian military movements westward in the Donetsk region.
Additionally, two fatalities occurred in attacks on villages located near the city of Kostyantynivka, which lies further to the northeast. Another victim was confirmed to be a resident of a village close to Kurakhove, a town that Russian forces claimed to have taken control of in January.
Russian military operations have been progressing gradually yet consistently through the Donetsk region as part of their objective to seize the Donbas, which encompasses both Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
