
The French interior ministry announced on Tuesday its intention to propose a ban on Legion X, a supporter group for the second-tier football club Paris FC, citing its long-standing involvement in serious violence.
Earlier that day, a national commission focused on preventing sports-related violence convened to evaluate various fan groups, including Legion X and two associated with St Etienne.
French football has faced ongoing issues with crowd disturbances, characterized by confrontations between fans and visiting players, as well as objects being thrown onto the field.

Recently, Paris FC was purchased by the family of French billionaire Bernard Arnault, who expressed their ambition to elevate the club to the ranks of elite French and European football.
