Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated on Thursday that the trade tariffs introduced by the United States were misguided, but emphasized that their effects should not be exaggerated and that the response should be measured.
“We should avoid creating unnecessary panic; this is not a disaster,” Meloni remarked during an interview with Italian state broadcaster RAI.
“I am not sure that retaliating with additional tariffs is the most effective approach,” she continued.
