
ABUJA, Nigeria – Nigeria marked its first-ever National Police Day on Monday, April 7, 2025, with a ceremony held at Eagle Square in Abuja. The event was attended by high-ranking government officials, including the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Vice President Kashim Shettima represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the event, which was organized by the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

National Police Day is intended to both commemorate and celebrate the dedication and sacrifices of the men and women of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).
