President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a 13-day visit to Lagos, where he participated in the ECOWAS Golden Jubilee celebrations and marked the Eid-el-Kabir holiday.
Touching down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, President Tinubu was welcomed by senior officials, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.
Shortly after his arrival, the President proceeded to the International Conference Centre, where he formally commissioned the newly renovated facility, a project completed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
During the ceremony, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike announced that the centre had been renamed in the President’s honour and will now be known as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre. Wike also revealed that various halls within the complex have been renamed after other top officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola Kekere-Ekun.
