President Bola Tinubu has once again demonstrated strong leadership by assuring Nigerians that peace and order will return across the country. Speaking at the launch of the rebranded Ministry of Police Affairs and the Ministry of Interior in Abuja, he declared that his administration will not tolerate disorder. Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to national security through bold reforms and a renewed focus on safeguarding lives and property.
The President emphasized that security serves as the foundation for national growth. He explained that without safety, development becomes impossible. He praised the ongoing efforts of the police and other security agencies, urging them to maintain professionalism and dedication.
At the ceremony, Tinubu directed newly appointed Ministers Ibrahim Gaidam and Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim to work closely with all security agencies. He insisted that both ministries must act swiftly and collaboratively to strengthen internal security. He reminded them that Nigerians expect visible results and genuine improvements.
Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to national security by linking it directly to economic progress. He stated that foreign investors will only consider Nigeria a viable destination when safety is guaranteed. Local businesses also rely on secure environments to survive and grow. His plan includes strengthening community policing, improving intelligence gathering, and equipping the police with modern tools and technology.
He recognized the sacrifices made by security personnel and promised continued government support. The President also stressed the need for law enforcement to uphold justice and respect human rights. According to him, true national security must balance firmness with fairness, civil liberty, and transparency.
Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, pledged to deliver on the President’s vision. He promised to improve coordination with the Nigeria Police Force and roll out reforms aimed at rebuilding public trust. Minister of Interior, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, also committed to enhancing national safety through better immigration control and stronger civil defense operations.
The newly structured ministries aim to drive efficiency and produce measurable results. Tinubu stated that government agencies must break down silos and begin sharing information and resources. This unified approach, he said, will help Nigeria respond faster and more effectively to security threats.
He called on citizens to support the government’s efforts and stay hopeful. Tinubu emphasized that restoring peace requires collective action, with communities playing a key role. He encouraged Nigerians to report suspicious activities and work hand-in-hand with security agencies.
With this renewed direction, Tinubu is building a solid foundation for a safer and more stable Nigeria. His leadership remains clear and purposeful. By prioritizing accountability, coordination, and reform, he is steering the country toward a new era of national security and recovery.
