The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Thursday that an anthrax outbreak has occurred in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), resulting in one death. Sixteen suspected human cases and one confirmed case have been reported in North Kivu Province, located in the eastern part of the country, according to the WHO.
