According to a French presidency official on Saturday, France is talking with its allies about the potential for an informal gathering of European leaders to discuss Ukraine, but nothing has been decided as of yet.
French President Emmanuel Macron has called for a European leaders’ summit in Paris, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on a panel at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
“The Russians refer to President Trump’s strategy as reconnaissance through battle. Pushing, observing, and then shifting your stance are all valid strategies. And we must react,” Sikorski stated.
“I am extremely happy that President Macron has summoned our leaders to Paris tomorrow, and I anticipate that they will take this very seriously.”

According to the French presidency official, Sunday would not be the date of any such summit.
“I am happy that President @EmmanuelMacron has invited the (Polish) Prime Minister @donaldtusk to attend a meeting of European leaders on Monday. We must demonstrate our unity and strength,” Sikorski subsequently stated on Twitter.
It was unclear if Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskiy would receive the invitation or if it would be sent to all EU members or to a wider audience.
