
A representative of the militant organization Hamas stated on Monday that Israel has consistently breached the ceasefire agreement established between the two parties. Additionally, it was announced that the upcoming release of hostages, scheduled for Saturday, will be postponed. Since the initial phase of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel commenced last month, five exchanges have taken place, resulting in the release of 21 hostages held by Hamas and more than 730 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas’ military faction, the Al-Qassam Brigades, has accused Israel of consistently breaching the ceasefire agreement over the last three weeks.
“The leadership of the resistance has been vigilant in observing the enemy’s transgressions and its inability to adhere to the terms of the agreement,” stated Abu Obeida.
“This encompasses delays in permitting displaced Palestinians to return to northern Gaza, targeting them with airstrikes and gunfire in various regions of the Strip, and not facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid as stipulated.”
Israel labels delay as a ‘complete violation’ of the ceasefire agreement
In response to Hamas’ claims, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz characterized the delay as “a complete violation” of the ceasefire agreement and ordered the Israeli military to maintain a heightened state of readiness.
Additionally, an Israeli official, who requested anonymity, revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advanced a planned meeting of his Security Cabinet from Tuesday afternoon to the morning.
