LAGOS, Nigeria – Layal Tinubu, co-founder and Executive Director of the Noella Foundation, is spearheading a range of philanthropic initiatives aimed at addressing social challenges in Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city.
During Ramadan 2025, the Noella Foundation, in collaboration with FoodClique Support, has been providing daily meals to an estimated 3,000 people across Lagos State. This effort aims to alleviate hunger during the Muslim holy month.
Beyond the Ramadan initiative, the Noella Foundation has distributed emergency food boxes to vulnerable communities throughout Lagos, providing an estimated 300,000 meals to those in need. The foundation’s efforts target areas such as Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu, Mushin, and Surulere.
In addition to addressing food insecurity, the Noella Foundation is also focused on empowering women and supporting education. The “Be Empowered” initiative, launched in June 2024, provided a ₦40 million (approximately \$[Calculate Exchange Rate as of Today’s Date]) empowerment fund to support young women in business. The foundation also held a “Life After School Summit” in 2024, equipping over 500 graduating students with career readiness skills.
