The outgoing director general of the BBC, who resigned over a misleading edit of a speech by US President Donald Trump, said “we’ve got to fight for our journalism” in a staff call on Tuesday.
“I think we’ve got to fight for our journalism,” Tim Davie, who resigned on Sunday said, according to BBC News. He also accepted the broadcaster had made “some mistakes that have cost us.”
