
Italians treated Queen Camilla of Britain to pizza and ice cream as part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of her marriage to King Charles during their state visit to Italy on Wednesday.
The royal couple visited the famous Giolitti café in central Rome, where the queen enjoyed an ice cream from a paper cup following the king’s significant address to the Italian parliament nearby.

Earlier in the day, Camilla received a boxed pizza after participating in an event at a school in Rome.
Later that evening, more formal dining is planned, as Italian President Sergio Mattarella will host a banquet for the royal couple at the Quirinale Palace.
During his speech to parliament, Charles remarked on the profound impact of Italian cuisine on British food culture. “I can only hope you will forgive us for occasionally corrupting your wonderful cuisine. We do so with the greatest possible affection,” he said, eliciting hearty laughter from the audience.
