It comes after the rapper recently left the X platform following a tirade of antisemitic posts, and also sold swastika T-shirts on his website.
In the fake video, Johansson and other stars including David Schwimmer and Jerry Seinfeld were depicted wearing a white T-shirt showing the Star of David on a hand giving a one-finger salute, above the word “Kanye”.
The US actress said that while she had no time for “hate speech”, she was as concerned about the threat of AI making us “risk losing hold on reality”.
‘Hate speech multiplied by AI’
“An AI-generated video featuring my likeness, in response to an antisemitic view, has been circulating online and gaining traction,” the Black Widow actress said in a statement to People. “I am a Jewish woman who has no tolerance for antisemitism or hate speech of any kind,” she said.
However, I also genuinely think that the threat posed by hate speech multiplied by AI is much bigger than any one individual who bears responsibility for it.
“No matter its messaging, we must call out the misuse of AI, or we risk losing a hold on reality,” she continued.
Along with other celebrities like Natalie Portman and Lenny Kravitz, the video also featured unapproved likenesses of Sacha Baron Cohen, Adam Sandler, and Steven Spielberg.
The phrase “Enough is enough” appears in the video. Assist in combating anti-Semitism.
On X, West, who is now legally known as Ye, frequently called himself a “Nazi” and praised Hitler before declaring on Sunday that he was shutting down his account.
Additionally, he made an appearance in a Super Bowl advertisement that directed viewers to his website, which began selling only one item: T-shirts featuring Swastikas.
Shopify removed the website on Tuesday for violating its policies.
In a letter to employees on Wednesday, Fox Television Stations CEO Jack Abernethy denounced the advertisement.
Before and during the Super Bowl, the advertisement was promoted as agenuine online clothing store.
According to Variety, he claimed that “the ad, which was presented as a legitimate online apparel site before and during the airing of the Super Bowl, was switched at some point afterwards, and completely outside of our stations’ control respondents to the commercials were redirected toward the marketing of a wholly appalling product.”

Ty Dolla $ign, who worked with West on his most recent albums, Vultures 1 and Vultures 2, in 2024, also distanced himself from the rapper this week, though he refrained from naming him.
Ty Dolla $ign posted on Instagram, “I do not condone any form of hate speech towards anybody,” Guy Bar and Ori Bejerano, digital marketers for the Israeli creative firm Gitam BBDO, created the new deepfake anti-Kanye video that was uploaded to the internet on Wednesday.
“It’s time to stop being silent and respond to antisemites like Kanye West in the strongest way possible,” Bejerano wrote after sharing the video on Instagram.
“It was exciting to see Jewish stars standing up to Kanye West – if only they had really done it,” Nicole Lampert wrote in the Jewish Chronicle.
The deafening silence of the celebrity class is only highlighted by a viral video of the campaign that turned out to be AI-generated.
The problem arises as recent data from the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority indicates that the most prevalent kind of scam advertisements on the internet continue to be phony advertisements with public figures and celebrities.
