U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his disapproval of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Monday regarding remarks he made about the unlikelihood of a resolution to the conflict with Russia in the near future.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump shared an Associated Press article titled “Ukraine’s Zelenskyy says end of war with Russia is ‘very, very far away.'”
“This is the most unfortunate statement that Zelenskyy could have made, and America will not tolerate it for much longer!” Trump commented, using a different spelling of Zelenskiy’s name.
These remarks came after a public disagreement between Trump and Zelenskiy in the Oval Office on Friday, which was anticipated to precede the signing of an agreement concerning Ukraine’s abundant natural resources.

Ultimately, the agreement was not finalized, as Trump and his vice president, JD Vance, criticized the visiting leader for perceived ingratitude towards U.S. assistance and a lack of respect.
