The Federal Government, in collaboration with the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) and the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), has distributed 80,640 bags of fertiliser to 20,160 smallholder farmers across the South-West geopolitical zone as part of efforts to strengthen food security and increase agricultural productivity during the 2026 wet farming season.
The intervention, carried out under the Renewed Hope Farm Input Support Programme (FISP), is expected to reduce production costs for farmers while improving crop yields and expanding food production across the region.
